Site Clearance
Dermot Casey Tree Care was one of the first tree care companies in Europe with the site clearing AHWI RT400. Made in Germany, it is designed for forestry and big timber situations, the AHWI RT400 has been used in a wide range of diverse applications such as clearing sites with timber and thick vegetation, beneath high tension power lines and difficult terrain. The RT400's exceptional power characteristics and go-anywhere ability enable these hard-to-reach areas to be mulched efficiently and quickly.
The RT400's PTO drive offers real advantages when compared with hydraulically driven large mulchers. More power is delivered directly to the mulcher. Dermot Casey Tree Care has been using this incredible machine for many years and have 2 AHWI RT400's with all the spares and workshop back up and equipment to keep these very efficient machine running. This is the most environmentally friendly machine for this type of clearance replacing the use of many machines to do the same work.
Bridge Maintenance
Our bridge service includes clearance of all vegetation from masonry arch bridges, clearance of all deadwood and debris deposited during floods. General bridge maintenance includes repair, pointing, grouting and rebuilding damaged stonework. General repair to concrete bridges, flyovers etc.
We also offer a bridge maintenance and management service. This service uses special reach hoists, remote control equipment, bio-active herbicide spraying and special treatments to prevent further growth.
Surveys / Estimates
Dermot Casey Tree Care has trained professional arborists who can carry out a variety of inspections and surveys. Collectively, Dermot Casey Tree Care team have surveyed 1000's of trees for local authorities and commercial clients throughout Ireland.
Retained trees can give a new site a feeling of permanence which can take decades to replace, providing the right trees are retained and properly protected. Each tree surveyed is systematically inspected by arboriculture consultants for evidence and signs of bio-mechanical or pathogenic faults. In addition, defects which may or may not be visible to the naked eye are identified and we describe the species, cause and prevention (if available) for each individual tree.
Primarily, clients seeking this level or type of survey are involved commercially in the construction and development of land which may have trees close to a proposed development. We as a company have many years experience liaising between county council, city corporations and the local authority planning departments and construction companies. More and more private land owners, hotels, golf clubs, business parks, universities and colleges are becoming aware that they have a reasonable duty of care to ensure that visitors on their land shall be safe from harm. Health condition surveys identify mechanical and structural defects which may pose a risk to members of the public and give remedial actions as a control measure.

RAILWAYS Dermot Casey Tree Care offers a railway maintenance service that includes mechanical and chemical weeding. We have specialist rolling stock platforms for hedge clearing, trimming and removing overhanging limbs on or near to railway tracks, verges and overhead lines.
